Only the best of antivirus software’s for your Mac can protect it from any kind of virus and malware threat. The good thing about owning a Mac computer is that there are not many threats that aim to disrupt it. This is because virus creators are busying creating viruses for operating systems like Windows. A fair reason being that there are very few Mac OS owners.
Although Windows based computers are ones that are largely affected by viruses and malware, there is no reason for Mac owners to rest. Mac computers and OS are still prone to security threats, as there are reasonable number of threats for Mac’s that float around. Getting rid of these threats or even avoiding them is possible only with the use of effective antivirus software.
The Best Antivirus for Mac Viruses & Spyware
Viruses like malicious software, Trojans adware, worms, spyware and several others can harm your computer very badly. It is important that you get rid of these viruses with the help of antivirus software. This software performs the task of killing these viruses in your computer. Since people assume that Mac computers are virus free they generally do not install an antivirus software. This can prove to be dangerous. It is therefore essential that you install a reasonably good antivirus program that will take care of your Mac computer.
Norton antivirus 11.0 – This is the newest by Norton for your Mac computer. You are assured of 100% protection from viruses and malicious codes that could be fatal for your computer. However uses of this program do have a few debatable comments about it, making it a slightly risky buy. However you cannot ignore the fact that this is the best brand in this category.
BitDefender – If you want an antivirus program that looks after your Mac computer and is not so harsh on your pockets then this is the one for you. This is probably a best seller among Mac users. It is hugely recommended for its user friendly interface and excellent work.
Kaspersky – Although very popular among Mac users you will find a few limitations to it. You will notice that the interface is good while it also recognizes Windows malware.
ClamXav – This software is available for free, and is the primary reason why most users prefer it. However do not expect it to have an advanced program that will take care of all the nasty codes that harm your computer.
iAntivirus – Although this is another free program it is considered to be the best in this no-price range. It has a larger threat database it recognizes thus allowing your Mac a better protection from virus and malware.
MacScanv2.6 – Its main speciality is to get rid of malware that generally downloads from the internet. Apart from this is also support to the FireFox browser by cleaning it and protecting it from web based issues. It offers you internet safety making it the best choice if you want an all-in-one product.
McAfeeVirusScan – Most recognise it by its previous name Virex. This program offers support for even Intel based Mac’s. It is the most popular and definitely the best software around. Also the price is very affordable.
There are several other choices that you can make in this category, that will help protect your computer from Mac viruses and malware. Using any of these will ensure that your computer is safe and without a worry to bother about.

Question by Runr729: How to contact apple to inquire about recieving free products?
I know this might be a stupid question, but i think (along with many other people) getting a macbook pro would be really cool. The problem is, i have no money. But i would be willing to review the computer on youtube and promote the company to the best of my ability. So how would i go about asking the company? And where should i address the email to?
Thanks!
Best answer:
Answer by Craven Unless you’re already renowned for some tech review, you will have to jump through so many hoops that it will be easier to save up to buy one.
A one off review on YouTube won’t do much since lots of people rant and rave about anything and everything on YouTube anyways.
You may have a better shot if you approached a local retailer and give a review of the store as well as the product. Something like “Bob’s computer shop on 10th Street has fantastic service and carries the latest Macbook Pro”.

Question by newsiesno1: How often should I take my computer to a professional?
As in, to have them do a hardcore scan on it, make sure there is nothing on it avast!, SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes can’t catch, see if there’s anything else wrong with it. I have Windows XP… please don’t tell me to upgrade to Linux or a Mac. I’ve got what I’ve got, alright?
Best answer:
Answer by Rab Hi, if you are not having problems and all is running well why give them money.Make sure you have recent backups. Be careful with avast right now as it’s throwing up a lot of false positives. I hope this helps. All the best. Rab
